Concrete Repair Works to Existing Rigid Taxi Pavement at Changi Airport

DESCRIPTION: Fast Set Concrete (3 hours setting time) repair the existing rigid taxiway pavement.

ECO2 carries out in-house R&D on the fast set concrete solution. The main objective of the research is to find out a solution that can minimize downtime for repair and reinstatement of concrete pavement without compromising the strength of concrete. This study is useful especially for heavy aircraft area where time is a critical consideration.

This research has been chosen as the best paper in ICPT2019 and get published at IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering 11.

Main Objective of Study:
The aim of this research is to determine the average compressive strength of fast set concrete with different formulations and their viabilities to be adopted for reparation and reinstatement works in concrete pavements especially when time is critical consideration.
